When I looked at the blurbs for this book I got the impression that it would end up as a sort of scary story anthology loosely held together by a Scheherazade frame I was wrong This is much interesting than only that, in terms of being a fully realized tale, and while it s somewhat predictable it ends up being like a clever and engaging impr

My 13 yr old son had to read this book over the summer for a project and he LOVED it Very much like a Brothers Grimm story.

Prior to reading this, my daughter s favorite book series was Eragon Now she loves this book and has read it twice, even though she was initially reluctant to read it at all it was a school assignment.
