A study of the serious art of producing television comedy by a master of the genre Indiscreet and honest in equal measure Just perfect. a vaguely interesting ramble of anecdotes, but was hoping for so much. As a big fan of TV comedy it s amazing to get to see behind the curtain and find out the thinking behind some of the moments that have made me happy to be alive over the last 30 years. Warm, charming, insightful, reassuring it s good to know you re doing some things right , funny and, importantly, helpful.
