    Sorry to say disappointed for the first time with Jack Reacher, found it hard to get into and very slow moving I don t like not finishing a book but gave this one up.

    Whilst not the best in the series it certainly isn t the worst either The plot is convoluted, you think it is a simple gangster feud but there is to it than that Set in an anonymous city the story starts quietly, relatively, and escalates to a conclusion then, as usual Reacher moves on.

    A slow burn as Reacher is different, and the scene is urban and style a departure for the author in my view But, that said an excellent story with a number of concurrent strands So the usual yes but with a softer feel A good read.
