Fabulously quick and easy introduction to Poly vagal theory. Brilliant book, arrived safely quickly, I admit to not having the time to read it just yet but I am trying to book the quality time that is needed to absorb the content Thank you, the book excites my expectations An interesting way to get the information across Interesting additional research understanding, to implication of trauma and suffering, and how it affects damages the brain body so that individuals can feel empowered into feeling and understanding the affects of environments and the people activity therein and that s why they are experiencing symptoms of trauma Also one has to feel safe in environments to thrive Polyvagal Theory focuses on the vagus nerve, the primary component of the parasympathetic nervous system and how it can be affected Good in depth read and enlightenment help for those who can understand bodily mind mechanism and implications for the human condition. Clearly a seminal book but heavy going and I m used to grappling with dense academic tomes As a result I fear I won t be referencing it as much as I d imagined
