Learn Biblical Hebrew Pack: Integrated for Use with Basics of Biblical Hebrew This is a nice set to order for learning Hebrew It has it all. The DVD s arrived in a cracked case The whole bottom was gone and they clearly had been used before When I put them in the DVD player, they started in the middle of the series But overall decent package, just wish the case wasn t totally broken. This is an amazing product I was only going to buy the text book and work book, but my wife convinced me to buy the set I am a full time employee who will be starting seminary hopefully in the fall I will be doing it part time Because of that, I know I will not have nearly enough time to cram in both Hebrew and Greek and do my normal salary job So I decided I wanted to get a head start. After reading some reviews on this series, I bought the full pack I am glad I did The pack comes with the text book, workbook, flashcards which have a lot of detailed information on them such as the chapter they appear in your test, alternative forms of the word, and how many times it appears in the OT, etc , a VERY helpful DVD that goes through the lessons as well as gives you helpful studying tips , and a CD the helps you study vocabulary I am very happy with this purchase and expect it will give a great foundation for when I take the classes in seminary. very helpful instructions excellent video complement to books It surpassed all my expectations It is definitely a good guide for those who want to learn the Biblical Hebrew Language. I absolutely love it so far Except for the fact that it doesn t really have an answer key for the workbook. This is a technical study of the Biblical Hebrew It will take time to get through but is very thorough If wanting to just learn basics, there are other programs, but if desiring to know the way the language is grammatically constructed and learn correct protocal this is not lacking It will take time as it covers all the grammatical rules in a classroom type of setting, lectures, text book, work book, flashcards and audio Work at your own pace and obtain that which is taught in schools Highly recommend for the serious student. Seems good initially but for some bizarre reason kill and slaughter are used as examples consistently throughout the book.In addition what is odd in this book is what the author does not mention Pastor Sandy Armstrong explains how each Hebrew and Greek letter has a numerical value and how the BIble is synchonous throughout He also points out how in the alphabet and the first verse of the Bible GOD gives the entire story of the Bible which show that GOD planned everything that happens from the start. If you know Hebrew yoiu know GOD wrote the Bible There is no doubt This fact is suppressed like flat earth, see Edward Hendrie and Rob Skiba.See also Ron Wyatt for true Biblical locations Red Sea Crossing being Nuweiba Beach, Mount Sinai being Jebel al lawz, Saudi Arabia and Noah s Ark and Sodom and Gomorrah See Walt Brown and Roger Gallop for evolution lies.See Chuck Missler and Clarence Larkin for Bible knowledge and the fact that soon Jesus is going to come down from heaven above to take the church, the saints, up before the start of the 7 year tribulation when the man of sin will be revealed. What they don t tell you is the Hebrew Bible is literal and true The KJV Bible is the best translation though not perfect.Man killed God but he ll be back to rule the world. I would not recommend this series for the absolute beginner The authors basically say , Here are the consonants, memorize them In the next chapter, Here are the vowels, memorize them I like everything I have been learning, but the authors throw so much at you at once, and don t give you enough repetitive work to really cement your learning before moving on to the next lesson However, this seems to be true of all the self study books I have looked at Also, as there is now a third edition, the answer key for the 2nd edition is no longer available Many of the questions and answers are the same, so this hasn t been too difficult I would have preferred the flashcards to come with pictures on them, I am a visual learner and this would have really helped me And just so you know, there is a great app for the iPhone, Biblical Hebrew Flashcards It has been a huge help to me and follows the same chapter by chapter vocabulary list that BBH uses.
