    The book s title and subtitles are apt The text is split into numerous short sections that make it easy to dip into without losing track of lengthy expositions whilst Goldingay s writing style is a relaxed combination of the welcoming and the challenging.

    Had to order for a Seminary class Goldingay breaks information down into sections which makes larger sections of reading easier to manage Goldingay also does not hold back on thoughts regarding his study on the Old Testament, which is encouraging to know he cares about how the Old Testament speaks verses selling books.

    This is a good introduction to the OT for those who have no knowledge of Hebrew nor wish to dig deeper into scholarly research There are other OT introductions that are technical and scholarly.
